Meet The Staff
Dr. Robert M. Anderson, MD, FACEPDr. Robert Anderson, fondly known as Dr. Bob by all his patients, was born in Shreveport, LA. He is a graduate of Jesuit High School in New Orleans, Louisiana State University and Tulane University Medical School. He completed one year of Orthopedic Surgery at Tulane University and went on to complete a four-year residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Chicago.
Dr. Anderson is a proud decorated veteran of the U.S. Army, serving primarily as a physician and director of the Emergency Department in Stuttgart Germany. For the past 15 years, he has worked as the director of the Emergency Department at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, the most active trauma center in Southwest Louisiana. Dr. Anderson has more than 25 years of experience in emergency medicine.
Although Dr. Anderson has a busy career, he says his passion is his family — his wife Rachel and his five children. He coaches his children's sports teams and loves to take his family on mission trips to Central America and Africa where he volunteers his medical skills.
Rachel Soileau-Anderson, RN, BSNRachel is a Westlake native. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from McNeese State University. Prior to attending MSU, she enlisted in the U.S. Army and worked Labor & Delivery at Reynolds Army Community Hospital in Oklahoma. Her last assignment in the Army was in Schweinfurt, Germany.
Like her husband Dr. Anderson, Rachel’s greatest joy comes from her family. She enjoys spending time with her husband and children, mission work in Africa and Honduras, playing golf, painting, acting, and photography.
Rachel says she is very thankful for the opportunity to be able to give back to the community she will always call home.
Crystal Alcede CooperCrystal Alcede Cooper, a native of Lake Charles, has always enjoyed giving back to her community.
Crystal is a graduate of Barbe High School, where she played softball and was an athletic trainer for the Sports Medicine program. Crystal attended McNeese State University where she was involved in the Athletic Training Program. In 2001, she also received her massage therapy certification.
Crystal is a member of Trinity Baptist Church and dedicates her time to the preschool ministry. She has also been a member of the Junior League of Lake Charles for four years.
Crystal’s two children keep her busy, but in her free time she enjoys playing tennis, football, and cycling.
